It takes cajones to step in as an outsider, to listen, learn, and offer perspective. As corporate business manager for a leading U.S. law firm, I use humor and wit to gently nudge egos aside, cut through the bull, and get sh*t done.
Much of my leadership training happened while roped up on glaciers in Alaska and traversing crags in Arizona, where risk is real and mistakes costly. What did I learn? Keep your eyes and ears open. Stick together. Drink more water. Anything is possible.
As an Instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School and National Fellow for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, I worked arm in arm with the game changers, the mavericks, the deeply curious and truly inspired among us who understand that real change is not without risk or failure. Those opportunities, lessons, and people continue to shape me, my choices, and my work.
As an artist, I’m ridiculously lucky — a songwriting contract with Universal Music, an opening slot for Joan Baez, two critically acclaimed albums of originals, and opportunities to collaborate with world class musicians I adore and admire. I’ll keep at it.
For now, I remain fascinated by Louisiana’s ever-evolving musical, culinary, and linguistic landscapes. This place is crazy - in the best possible ways. I’m always seeking like-minded companions on the journey. Always up for a new challenge. Got a great idea? Hit me up.
